Malaysia Airlines unveils Mumbai Indians aircraft

Malaysia Airlines has rolled out a new aircraft livery featuring Mumbai Indians, expanding its partnership with the cricket franchise into a large-scale brand collaboration.

The design, unveiled on an Airbus A330-300, integrates the team’s blue-and-gold colours with the airline’s branding. It features the Mumbai Indians emblem, the signature chakra motif, and fan-inspired graphic elements aimed at reflecting the franchise’s identity and following.

The move builds on the airline’s role as the team’s Official Global Airline Partner. As part of this association, Malaysia Airlines’ branding is already visible on the team’s jersey, extending the partnership beyond aviation into sports visibility.

To support the launch, both partners released a digital film highlighting Mumbai’s cultural landscape and its connection with cricket, aligning the campaign with fan engagement.

The aircraft is expected to operate on routes across India and Asia, supporting the airline’s focus on strengthening connectivity and presence in key markets, while also contributing to its broader efforts around transit travel through Kuala Lumpur.
