Times OOH has enhanced its Dynamic Platform Screens Network across Mumbai Metro Line 1, upgrading the displays installed across nine key stations.
The platform screens have been upgraded from 55 inches to 75 inches, with brighter displays and redesigned premium enclosures. The media units are positioned on the median between two live metro tracks, providing brands with an eye-level display environment for commuters on the platforms.
Mumbai Metro Line 1 records an average daily ridership of approximately 10.5 lakh commuters, with nearly 94 per cent belonging to the NCCS A segment, according to Times OOH.
The larger displays are designed to provide greater visual impact, while the enhanced brightness aims to deliver clearer imagery across different lighting conditions during the day and night. The redesigned enclosures are intended to create a more premium visual environment across the metro platforms.
Times OOH said the enhancement has been designed around commuter behaviour, particularly the period before trains arrive, when passengers are attentive to their surroundings. The upgraded screens are intended to provide brands with greater visibility during this time.
Times OOH had earlier introduced digital media within the metro platform environment. The initiative received recognition in the Limca Book of Records.
Sumit Chadha, Business Head, Times OOH, said Mumbai Metro Line 1 combines high commuter footfall with a premium audience, and the upgraded screens are designed to match both aspects through larger displays, increased brightness and premium design.
The enhanced network is now live across nine stations on Mumbai Metro Line 1 and is available to advertisers.
