The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has given licence to Groww and Worldline ePayments to operate as online Payment Aggregators (PAs).

The central bank has given the licence to Groww for its UPI payment platform, Groww Pay.

Worldline ePayments India has been granted a licence, allowing it to provide payment services to merchants such as e-commerce firms and online businesses.

Till date, over 28 companies have received in-principle approval from the RBI to function as PAs.

Many companies received licences this year as those moved through the final phases of approval after requesting to become PAs.
