Burger King has launched Boomer King, a limited-time menu inspired by television shows from the 1980s and 1990s. The menu has been available since July 21.
The launch draws inspiration from popular programmes including Charmed, Beverly Hills, 90210, Saved by the Bell and Knight Rider. Each Boomer King menu includes one of four themed collectibles: a Saved by the Bell pair of socks, a Knight Rider T-shirt, a Charmed mug or a Beverly Hills, 90210 branded glass.
As part of the offering, Burger King has also reintroduced Canada Dry and added a Galak King Fusion dessert to its menu.
To promote the launch, the company has unveiled an advertising campaign created by Buzzman. The campaign film recreates the visual style, music and opening sequences associated with television shows from the era, featuring a cast portraying older versions of familiar characters.
The campaign has been running since July 21 across television and BVOD/VOL platforms in 10-second, 20-second and 30-second formats.
