LearnTube has received initial commitments from several investors, including Blitzscaling Ventures, Goodwater Capital, Bisk Ventures and non-profit tech-led venture philanthropy investor ACT, as part of its larger $2 million seed round. The startup intends to use the funding to expand its Artificial Intelligence (AI) and product capabilities, allowing it to launch an AI-powered multilingual live-learning coach. The proceeds will also be utilised to drive product development and global expansion.
Speaking about the development, Shronit Ladhani, Co-founder, LearnTube, said, “With the support of our investors, we are now poised to scale our operations, enhance our AI capabilities, and test new markets, particularly in the United States (US).”
This investment round comes at a time of challenge and opportunity for the EdTech sector. With the reopening of physical classrooms and study centres post-lockdown, many EdTech startups have struggled to maintain long-term sustainability, leading to closures and reduced funding.
LearnTube (formerly known as CareerNinja), started in 2022 by the husband-wife duo, transforms internet and YouTube content into bite-size courses. The company is also part of the first cohort of the ‘Google for Startups Accelerator: AI-First’ programme, which targets AI-first startups operating across sectors like gaming, manufacturing, healthcare, education, data analytics and cybersecurity. It has more than 220 courses in programming, digital marketing, data science, design, finance and investment.
The firm has more than 6,00,000 users learning through its website, mobile app, or WhatsApp bot.
