Women In Cloud has announced the launch of its #FoundHerWorld initiative in India, aimed at enabling greater economic participation for women founders building businesses in the AI-driven economy. The initiative is designed to help women entrepreneurs gain access to capital, customers, partnerships, and global visibility through structured support pathways.
The launch comes at a time when India is emerging as one of the world’s fastest-growing AI startup ecosystems. According to the organisation, women founders continue to face limited access to venture capital and procurement opportunities despite demonstrating strong business outcomes globally.
#FoundHerWorld forms part of Women In Cloud’s larger mission to unlock USD 1 billion in economic access for women and allies by 2030. The organisation stated that women entrepreneurs currently receive only a small fraction of annual venture capital investments and have limited access to the global procurement ecosystem.
Commenting on the launch, Chaitra Vedullapalli, President and Co-founder, Women in Cloud, said, “We are extremely delighted to announce the launch of #FoundHerWorld at a time when India’s start-up ecosystem is growing at a rapid pace. This comes at a critical point when we are adopting to the AI way of life and the future will belong to those who will have seamless access to AI. #FoundHerWorld is our endeavour to ensure that women founders grab opportunities of real economic participation. This will be done by activating communities, capital, and partnerships at scale. India represents one of the most important frontiers for this mission.”
The initiative will focus on addressing three major challenges faced by women entrepreneurs in India, limited visibility and discovery pathways, restricted access to capital networks, and the growing AI adoption gap. Women In Cloud stated that the programme aims to bridge these gaps by connecting founders with investors, customers, communities, and hyperscaler partnerships.
The campaign is supported by a coalition of global partner communities, including Founders Live, Stella Foundation, The Pitch Hub, She Angel Investors, AnitaB.org India, and Vanguard Development Collective.
As part of the initiative, participating women founders will receive access to a four-stage support framework covering global visibility, investor and event access, AI readiness guidance, and structured go-to-market opportunities. The programme also includes access to partnerships with major hyperscalers, including Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, and Google.
Women In Cloud currently operates a network of more than 150,000 members across 100 countries, focusing on cloud workforce development, AI innovation, entrepreneurship, and policy advocacy aligned with ESG and UN Sustainable Development Goals.
