In a notable step forward for the electric vehicle market, Tanvir Singh, former top executive and co-founder of Mooving has introduced his new venture TrusTerra, along with Saurabh Arora, Madhu Reddy and Chanakya Agarwal, the venture is positioning itself as the first dedicated marketplace for pre-owned EVs..
TrusTerra aims to close this gap by introducing transparency, standardisation and trust through its proprietary TruEV Score™, an AI-based valuation tool that measures battery health, range consistency and remaining useful life.
Speaking at the launch, Tanvir Singh described used EVs as central to India’s electrification journey.
“For India to electrify affordably, a trusted resale backbone is critical. We are building that backbone to ensure every EV owner can unlock fair value, every dealer can trade with confidence, and every buyer can purchase with trust,” he said.
The platform is launching with two supporting services, TerraCash™, which provides instant diagnostics and liquidity by allowing owners to receive bids and payments within 24 hours, and TerraBid™, a certified dealer auction system designed to ensure only quality EVs reach the market.
Both services are aimed at bolstering dealer confidence and expanding consumer choice, while also supporting financing, warranties and buyback options.
TrusTerra’s launch has been welcomed by the industry. Avinash Sharma, Founder of ElectricPe, noted that the company’s AI-backed model could be pivotal in addressing one of the key bottlenecks in India’s EV adoption.
Initially focusing on Delhi NCR, the platform will extend its reach to Bengaluru, Pune and Hyderabad in the coming months.
Its target is ambitious, enabling one million EV transactions over the next three to five years and achieving a Rs 500 crore market cap within two years.
With partnerships already in place with OEMs, banks, insurers and dealer networks, TrusTerra is counting on becoming the foundation of India’s “EV 3.0 era”, a phase defined not just by adoption, but by building a robust ecosystem of resale, financing, insurance and battery lifecycle management.
