Sony Pictures Networks India (SPNI) and Amitabh Bachchan have announced Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) Season 18, introducing the new season with the theme ‘Sochna Padega’. The quiz show will premiere on August 10, 2026, and will air from Monday to Friday at 9:00 PM on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV.
The new theme focuses on the idea that while knowledge is widely available today, the real advantage lies in the ability to interpret, connect and apply it effectively in different situations.
Hosted by Amitabh Bachchan, the campaign comes alive through a series of brand films that highlight the importance of applying knowledge rather than simply possessing information. Set in everyday situations, the films emphasise critical thinking, analysis and adaptability in a rapidly changing world.
Commenting on the new season, a Sony Pictures Networks India spokesperson said that KBC has evolved into a cultural phenomenon that encourages conversations around knowledge. The spokesperson added that this season’s theme, ‘Sochna Padega’, celebrates the value of applied knowledge and decision-making, making it relevant in today’s world.
Season 18 of Kaun Banega Crorepati will begin on August 10, 2026, with regular weekday episodes scheduled from Monday to Friday.
