Skipper Pipes has launched a new campaign titled ‘Skipper On, Seelan Gone’, conceptualised by Dentsu Creative, to highlight the problem of seepage and the role of reliable piping solutions in protecting homes.
The campaign takes an unconventional approach to product communication by portraying seepage as an unwelcome traveller that moves from one corner of a house to another. Its film, Kaun Rehta Hai Aapke Ghar? Seepage Ya Skipper?, uses humour, visual storytelling and imaginative depictions of damp patches to turn a common household concern into a relatable narrative.
The film follows seepage as it travels across different spaces in a home, refusing to leave once it has entered. Through this portrayal, the campaign highlights how choosing the right pipes can help prevent seepage and protect household spaces.
The campaign focuses on an issue that homeowners may notice only after seepage has spread and begun affecting their homes. It reinforces Skipper Pipes’ focus on reliable, leak-proof piping solutions. The film is available across the brand’s digital and social media platforms.
Siddharth Bansal, Director, Skipper Limited, said: “Every homeowner wants a beautiful home, but what often goes unnoticed is what lies behind its walls. Seepage can slowly take away from the joy of a home, affecting not just its appearance but also the pride and comfort that come with it. At Skipper, we believe that protecting a home begins with making the right choices at the foundation level. With ‘Skipper On, Seelan Gone’, we wanted to bring this everyday consumer concern into focus and reinforce why choosing the right pipes matters. The campaign brings this message alive in a relatable and memorable way, while strengthening our commitment to delivering reliable, leak-proof piping solutions that help keep homes protected.”
GS Sainath, CBO, Skipper Pipes, added: “A home is one of the biggest investments a family makes, and protecting it goes beyond what meets the eye. While homeowners spend considerable time choosing the right walls, finishes and interiors, the plumbing infrastructure behind those walls is equally important. Seepage is a reminder of what can go wrong when this foundation is overlooked. Through ‘Skipper On, Seelan Gone’, we wanted to bring this often-ignored aspect of home protection into everyday conversation. The campaign helps reinforce a simple message: the right pipes play an important role in keeping homes leak-proof and walls free from seepage. At Skipper, we want to make that choice easier and more memorable for consumers.”
Abhijat Bharadwaj, CCO, Dentsu Creative Isobar, said: “Every Indian home has walls that talk, and seelan is the one thing you never want them saying. Once it moves in, it never pays rent and never leaves. The category keeps shouting about pipes that last donkey’s years, but nobody sees the pipe. They see the wall. So we stopped selling the pipe and started saving the wall. The idea came from a very human habit: just as we find faces in clouds, we spot bizarre shapes in a damp wall. We made those shapes impossible to forget, and left people with one simple answer: Skipper On, Seelan Gone.”
