SS Innovations launches SSII MantrAsana to enable remote robotic surgeries globally

SS Innovations International Inc. has unveiled SSII MantrAsana, the Tele Surgeon Console (TSC), a groundbreaking step in making remote robotic surgery possible and accessible worldwide.

Developed entirely in India, MantrAsana is an ergonomic, portable console that allows expert surgeons to operate remotely with precision, without occupying an operating room. The compact system enables surgeons to conduct telesurgeries from their offices, connecting to hospitals or surgical units anywhere in the world.

Dr. Sudhir Srivastava, Founder and Chairman, SS Innovations, said, “With the Tele Surgeon Console, we are transforming how advanced surgical care is delivered. MantrAsana brings a surgeon’s expertise directly to patients, regardless of geography, making remote robotic surgery a practical reality.”

The launch event was attended by leading figures in the medical community, including Dr. Sudhir Rawal, Medical Director at Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute, who called the innovation “a new era in surgical care where world-class expertise can reach patients wherever they are.”

The MantrAsana TSC features a built-in control chair, lightweight 3D visualisation glasses, and magnetic sensor-based controls for real-time precision. It also supports global collaboration, remote mentoring, and training for surgical teams, aligning with SS Innovations’ mission to democratise robotic surgery.

The system will be commercially available in India by December 2025, followed by global rollout.

Founded with a vision to make robotic surgery affordable and accessible, SS Innovations is headquartered in India and offers the SSII Mantra Surgical Robotic System and SSII Mudra instruments, enabling a range of complex procedures, including robotic cardiac surgery.
