SS Innovations International (SSII) has showcased its SSII MantraM mobile tele-robotic surgery unit at ASACON 2025, hosted by Assam Medical College, Dibrugarh. The event marked the Assam leg of the MantraM “Made-in-India” Surgical Robot Yatra, a 1,500+ km national journey that aims to democratise access to advanced surgical technology and empower doctors across the country.
The MantraM unit, built on a BharatBenz 1824 chassis, serves as a fully mobile surgical simulation and demonstration platform, giving over 500 doctors and surgeons across Assam an opportunity to experience live robotic surgery demonstrations and hands-on training. The initiative reflects SSII’s mission to make cutting-edge healthcare accessible in remote and underserved regions through indigenous innovation.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Subhash Khanna, Laparoscopic Surgeon and Founder, Swagat Hospitals, said, “The MantraM Surgical Robot Yatra is a historic step toward redefining surgical science in India. The MantraM mobile unit features the Mantra 3.0 robotic platform, designed and engineered in India to deliver precision and flexibility across multiple surgical specialties, including cardiac surgery. Equipped with advanced connectivity, power backup, and air-conditioned interiors, the unit enables live telesurgery simulations and real-time training.
