Handpickd has partnered with Gulmeher, a Delhi-based not-for-profit foundation working to create sustainable livelihoods for women waste-pickers and women from marginalised communities, as part of its Diwali campaign.
Through the collaboration, Handpickd will feature a curated selection of Gulmeher’s Diwali products on its platform, giving greater visibility to the artisans and the stories behind their creations during the festive season.
Gulmeher works with women artisans to create eco-friendly products using discarded flowers, recycled paper and fabric waste. Established in 2013 in Ghazipur, Delhi, the initiative focuses on transforming waste-pickers into skilled artisans through hands-on training, fair wages and a sustainable source of income.
As part of the collaboration, Handpickd will feature Gulmeher’s festive creations on its app, including the handcrafted Summer Dance Diya Set, Kamal Toran, Genda Toran, Earth’s Own Rangoli Colour and the Diwali Jyoti Gift Box. The campaign highlights the skills of Gulmeher’s artisans while offering consumers handcrafted and sustainable products for their homes during Diwali.
