Dentsu India partners IWMBuzz for OTT awards and industry insights initiative

Dentsu India has entered into a multi-year partnership with IWMBuzz Media to collaborate on the IWMBuzz Digital Awards and an upcoming OTT-focused industry report.

The partnership will commence with Season 8 of the IWMBuzz Digital Awards and includes the launch of the dentsu–IWMBuzz OTT Report, aimed at tracking trends in content creation, consumption, and monetisation across India’s OTT ecosystem.

As part of the collaboration, both organisations will work on media planning, sponsorship integration, and marketing initiatives to expand the reach of the awards and build a knowledge-driven ecosystem around OTT content.

The IWMBuzz Digital Awards recognise excellence across digital formats such as web series, films, podcasts, and non-fiction content, covering categories including acting, direction, music, and emerging talent. Season 8 will feature a jury-led selection process supported by a multi-platform outreach strategy spanning digital, television, print, radio, and on-ground activations.

The dentsu–IWMBuzz OTT Report is expected to provide insights into evolving consumption patterns, storytelling trends, and their implications for brands and content creators.

According to Harsha Razdan, CEO, South Asia, Dentsu, the initiative aims to amplify recognition for creative excellence in the OTT space, while Narayan Devanathan, President & Chief Strategy Officer, South Asia, Dentsu, highlighted the growing cultural relevance of OTT platforms in shaping consumer engagement.

Siddhartha Laik, Founder & Editor-in-Chief, IWMBuzz Media, added that the partnership will help scale the platform and strengthen its positioning within the OTT ecosystem.

The alliance builds on an existing collaboration between the two companies in the gaming segment, now extending into OTT.
