Wundrsight has raised $400K in a seed funding round led by Inflection Point Ventures, with Social Alpha and angel investors participating. The funds will be used to deepen partnerships with hospitals, clinics and rehabilitation centres across India, enhance platform development, and scale operations in key cities.
Founded in 2022, Wundrsight uses Virtual Reality (VR) and Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based platforms to provide innovative and immersive therapies for conditions such as anxiety, phobia, OCD, autism and substance use disorders. With a mission to make mental healthcare more accessible and efficient, Wundrsight’s VR solutions have already shown promising results, cutting therapy session times by 30 per cent, leading to improved patient outcomes. Currently, the startup operates in three metro cities and has secured partnerships with over five hospitals, with plans to expand further.
Raunak Swarnkar and Nishtha Budhiraja, Co-founders, Wundrsight, are driving the company’s mission to revolutionise mental healthcare in India.
Swarnkar highlighted the immense potential of VR in augmenting traditional therapy methods, enhancing patient engagement and reducing the reliance on medication. He also emphasised on Wundrsight’s vision to address the global clinician shortage by delivering scalable and standardised care through its VR-based therapies.
The funding will not only support the startup’s growth in India, but also pave the way for its entry into international markets, including the US, where VR therapy has gained recognition from insurance providers. With India’s mental health market projected to grow exponentially, Wundrsight is poised to play a pivotal role in transforming mental healthcare delivery.
