Truecaller recently appointed Gaurav Loomba as India’s Senior Director of Public Affairs. Loomba will lead the charge in developing and implementing a public affairs strategy aimed at securing regulatory and policy support for the company’s sustained growth and innovation in India.
Welcoming him, Kari Krishnamurthy, Chief Commercial Officer, Truecaller, remarked, “Gaurav Loomba’s leadership in Public Affairs marks a pivotal step as we deepen our focus on India, our largest market. His regulatory expertise and ability to cultivate meaningful stakeholder engagement will strengthen our partnerships and advance our strategic goals in telecommunications.”
Loomba holds a track record in fostering relationships with government bodies and industry associations, particularly in driving policy reforms, regulatory frameworks and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
Post his appointment, he stated, “I am pleased to announce my appointment as the Senior Director of Public Affairs at Truecaller. My primary objective will be to enhance the organisation’s engagement with government ministries and agencies, ensuring comprehensive support for Truecaller’s commitment to the Indian market.”
Earlier, Loomba served as AVP of Government and Public Affairs at Paytm and prior to that at the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) and ICICI Bank.
