Veranda Learning Solutions has announced its plan to divest its vocational training vertical.
The decision was recommended and approved by the company’s Restructuring Committee and includes the businesses Brain4ce Education Solutions Private Limited, Veranda Management Learning Solutions Private Limited, and Six Phrase Edutech Private Limited.
This divestment is part of Veranda’s broader strategy to consolidate its focus across four key areas, Academic, government test preparation, commerce, and vocational training.
The company had earlier declared its intent to demerge its commerce vertical, and the proposed sale of the vocational business is another step towards streamlining operations and enhancing business priorities.
Through this move, Veranda aims to allow the vocational businesses to unlock independent growth as profitable, debt-free, and market-leading entities.
The company is also looking to partner with Indian organizations that have strong global affiliations with universities to expand reach and innovation in higher education and skill development.
Commenting on the development, Suresh Kalpathi, Executive Director and Chairman, Veranda Learning Solutions, said the decision reflects the company’s commitment to long-term shareholder value and ensuring that each business is optimally positioned for growth.
He added that the move would allow Veranda to concentrate its resources on areas where it has built a strong market presence, while enabling the divested businesses to pursue opportunities aligned with their strengths.
Veranda Learning continues to actively explore divestment opportunities as part of its restructuring approach, aiming to build a more focused enterprise aligned with the evolving needs of the education sector.
