Oolka procures $7 million at seed financing to scale AI-powered credit platform

Oolka has raised USD 7 million in seed funding led by Lightspeed India Partners and Z47, with participation from 8i Ventures and prominent angel investors including Vidit Aatrey, Sanjeev Barnwal, Ramakant Sharma, Abhishek Goyal, Rajesh Yabaji, Nitin Gupta, Madhusudan R, Anil Goteti, and Arnav Kumar.

Oolka is building an AI-powered financial agent designed to help users monitor and improve credit health. The platform identifies actionable steps and, with user consent, executes personalised actions to strengthen credit scores and support better financial decision-making.

“Oolka was founded on the belief that every Indian should have access to affordable credit,” said Utkrishta Kumar, Founder & CEO, Oolka.

“Our mission is to democratise financial health through agentic AI by acting as a trusted companion for credit and personal finance decisions,” he added.

The fresh capital will be used to expand Oolka’s engineering, data science, and product teams, while accelerating the rollout of AI-driven features such as real-time credit improvement tools, an AI-native consumer app, and hyper-personalised user experiences.

Since launch, Oolka has processed over Rs 100 crore in credit repayments, is nearing two million users, and is on track to cross USD 1 million in annual recurring revenue.

The platform has also forged partnerships with Yes Bank, IDFC Bank, AU Small Finance Bank, Muthoot Finance, and InCred, further strengthening its financial ecosystem.

Investors see Oolka as well-positioned to capture India’s rising demand for credit management.

Harsha Kumar, Partner, Lightspeed, noted that Oolka’s AI-driven insights and EMI management tools can significantly enhance financial inclusion.

Vikram Vaidyanathan, Managing Director, Z47, added that the startup is addressing a surge in credit awareness among India’s Gen Z and millennials, who account for 77 per cent of active credit score trackers.

With India home to more than 420 million people with a credit history, Oolka aims to become the go-to financial companion for a new generation of borrowers.
