Getepay has received final authorisation from the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) to operate as an online Payment Aggregator (PA) under the central bank’s regulatory framework, becoming the first company from Rajasthan to receive this distinction.
This development marks a significant milestone in the state’s contribution to India’s fintech landscape.
Since its founding in 2016, the Jaipur-based firm has empowered over 1.5 million merchants nationwide, offering simplified, secure, and accessible digital payment solutions to a wide range of businesses—from kirana shops and educational institutions to e-commerce stores, service providers, and small-scale manufacturers.
With a deep-rooted mission to serve Bharat, Getepay has focused on enabling integrated digital payment services, particularly for small and medium enterprises.
With the RBI’s final approval now in hand, Getepay is set to expand its footprint across India, aiming to onboard millions of small businesses from Tier 2, Tier 3, and rural regions. The company’s vision includes providing not only digital payment capabilities but also a broader suite of tools for inventory management, GST billing, and digital storefronts—transforming the way small merchants operate and scale.
“This is more than just a regulatory milestone; it’s a validation of our unwavering commitment to building a truly inclusive digital economy. With this RBI license, we are now ready to deepen our impact, scale across Bharat, and empower MSMEs with not just payments but complete commerce enablement,” said Pravin Sharma, Founder and CEO, Getepay.
Mahavir Pratap Sharma, Angel investor added, “Getepay isn’t just another fintech; it’s grounded in Bharat and solving real, structural problems. The RBI licence reinforces their credibility, and I believe Getepay is poised to become a key force in reshaping how small merchants participate in India’s digital economy.”
With plans to formalise over 10 million MSMEs in the coming years, the company aims to drive meaningful GDP contribution from India’s unorganised sector, creating thousands of direct and indirect employment opportunities through its agent network, support staff, and partner ecosystem.
Its mobile-first, language-agnostic platform is designed to remain accessible in low-connectivity regions, furthering digital inclusion among rural entrepreneurs and women-led businesses.
As Getepay enters its next phase of growth, it continues to position itself as a pivotal player in India’s digital commerce revolution—offering end-to-end business solutions that fuel equitable financial growth and empower the next wave of entrepreneurs across Bharat.
