Veranda IAS Learning Solutions has partnered with Amrita Vidyalayam Schools to introduce the “Junior IAS” Youth Leadership Programme for students from Classes 6 to 12.
The programme is designed to equip students with skills in public leadership, governance awareness, entrepreneurship, and life skills, preparing them for future roles across sectors. It follows a structured two-level framework with 26 sessions in each level, enabling a gradual progression from foundational concepts to applied leadership.
The curriculum integrates subjects such as India’s governance systems, history, geography, and economy with training in leadership, communication, ethical decision-making, and emotional intelligence. Modules include India and Governance, Personal Leadership Development, India’s Challenges and Opportunities, and Applied Leadership.
A key aspect of the programme is its experiential learning approach, featuring Youth Parliament simulations, civic and community projects, role plays, and capstone assignments to help students engage with real-world challenges.
The initiative also includes an entrepreneurship and financial literacy module, covering business fundamentals through case studies, business planning, and simulations. Additionally, AI-powered career mapping and psychometric assessments provide personalised guidance on career pathways such as civil services, law, entrepreneurship, and public policy.
K Vigneswar Kumar, Business Head, Veranda IAS, stated that the programme aims to nurture leadership early while fostering awareness of governance and entrepreneurial thinking.
Swamini Bhakthipriyamrita Prarna, Amrita Vidyalayam Schools, highlighted the focus on holistic development through leadership, ethics, and civic responsibility.
Veranda IAS has already implemented the programme in several schools, including the Velammal Bodhi Campus group across Tamil Nadu. The collaboration marks a step towards integrating leadership education within school ecosystems to develop socially conscious and future-ready individuals.
