MakeMyTrip has reported a robust 26.5 per cent Year-on-Year (YoY) revenue growth for the second quarter of FY 2025, reaching $211 million, driven by a strong increase in bookings. The company’s net profit for the quarter rose to $17.9 million, compared to $2 million in the same period last year, highlighting improved profitability alongside revenue growth.
Rajesh Magow, Co-Founder and Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO), MakeMyTrip, expressed satisfaction with the company’s performance, particularly during what is traditionally a slower quarter for the travel sector.
“We are pleased to have achieved sustained growth in a seasonally slow quarter. We continue to be positive about the long-term outlook of India’s travel and tourism market,” Magow said, emphasising optimism for ongoing growth.
The results reflect MakeMyTrip’s strategic efforts to strengthen its market presence amid a growing appetite for travel in India. Leveraging technology-driven solutions and customer-centric offerings, the company has tapped into the expanding travel demands, despite economic challenges.
The travel giant’s focus remains on enhancing customer experiences, which has led to sustained growth across various service segments. The promising financial results underscore MakeMyTrip’s commitment to capture India’s evolving travel trends, setting a positive trajectory for the remaining fiscal year.
