Uber and Refex Green Mobility join forces to accelerate EV adoption in India

Uber has partnered with Refex Green Mobility to introduce 1,000 Electric Vehicles (EVs) across major Indian cities by 2026. The initiative aligns with Uber’s global commitment to achieve 100 per cent zero-emission rides by 2040.

Under the partnership, electric four-wheelers will be added to Uber’s fleet in Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Mumbai. The ride-hailing company emphasised that this initiative is a crucial step in advancing sustainable mobility solutions in India.

Refex Green Mobility, a subsidiary of Chennai-based Refex Industries, operates under the brand Refex eVeelz and has been actively expanding its presence in the EV sector.

This initiative is expected to strengthen India’s EV ecosystem, enhance access to sustainable transportation and lower carbon emissions in urban areas.
