Moombix raises $2.46 million in seed funding to Revolutionise music education

Music education platform, Moombix, has successfully closed a seed funding round of over $2.46 million. The round was led by Iceland-based Frumtak Ventures, with additional support from angel investors. The new capital will help the company scale its marketplace, enhance user experience, drive customer acquisition and prepare for an upcoming strategic launch in the UK, where nearly 200 teachers are already onboard.

As it enters its next phase of growth, Moombix is focused on expanding its global community of students and teachers. The platform already boasts top-tier instructors, including Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Richard Bedford, Icelandic National Theatre’s Biggi Þóris, and DJ Steve Riggs.

Founded in 2022 by professional musician and entrepreneur Margret Juliana Sigurdardottir, Moombix offers a unique, flexible approach to music education, encouraging adults to pursue music for personal growth and fulfilment. By removing traditional barriers like location and scheduling, Moombix provides one-on-one lessons with expert teachers, making music education more accessible.
