Fintech startup Simpl appoints Prateek Chugh as VP for D2C business

Fintech startup Simpl has appointed Prateek Chugh as its Vice President for Direct To Consumer (D2C) business, the company informed via a statement.

In his new role, Chugh will drive Simpl’s D2C arm forward, with responsibilities spanning the implementation of sales strategies, fostering crucial merchant partnerships and executing strategic business initiatives, according to the statement.

“I am excited to join the dynamic team at Simpl and spearhead its D2C arm. The D2C ecosystem in India is experiencing rapid growth, accompanied by its unique set of challenges and opportunities. Simpl is at the forefront of solving these challenges while helping to build trust with consumers,” Chugh remarked in the statement.

The statement further mentioned that Chugh’s appointment comes with a wealth of experience garnered over a decade in the industry. Holding an MBA from Delhi School of Economics, he previously served as Business Head at Classplus India, gaining invaluable insights into building and expanding businesses. His tenure also includes stints at prominent organisations like OYO, further solidifying his expertise in navigating complex market landscapes.
