With more than a decade of experience in AdTech and digital marketing, Lakshmi Balachandran, CEO, and Prabha Kumari, Chief Product Officer (CPO), and Co-founders, Automate Tech, learnt that for almost all advertisement/digital marketing channels, majority of the work is being done in a traditional way – right from content generation to ad optimisation.

Regular methods are time consuming and often fall short. Thus, the duo felt that there had to be a better way to approach it. This is how and why they founded AutomateTech.

While choosing to use Artificial Intelligence (AI) to take their organisation forward, one of the major challenges that Kumari and Balachandran faced in the initial phase was to decide on the generative (gen) AI models that they should use.

“Every gen AI model available in the market currently is still evolving, and is not completely ready for production at scale. So, after multiple rounds of research and evaluation, we zeroed in on a mix of gen AI models and underlying Large Language Models (LLMs), which satisfies our use cases.”

Another challenge that they face is “training the models using client data.” They have assembled a skilled team of engineers, and are investing significant time in Research and Development (R&D) on this currently.

“Our deep domain knowledge and collective experiences of building MarTech solution in the traditional manner will go a long way to adapt to gen AI-based model,” they emphasise.
