AIIMS New Delhi recently hosted a workshop in partnership with Healthpresso that focussed on emerging technologies, with a special emphasis on Artificial Intelligence (AI). The workshop aimed to equip medical professionals with the skills and insights needed to utilise AI’s transformative potential, according to a statement by Healthpresso.
Kanwal Preet Kochhar, Professor AIIMS New Delhi said in the statement, “This workshop brings together top experts in AI and healthcare to empower our medicos with the knowledge they need to leverage AI effectively. By focussing on practical applications, we’re preparing future healthcare leaders to innovate and drive significant improvements in patient outcomes.”
The workshop also highlighted the need for specialised AI applications in healthcare, such as a Health GPT tailored to healthcare-specific data. Participants gained hands-on experience and insights from experts, preparing them to contribute to India’s healthcare transformation, added the statement.
Highlighting AI’s potential to transform healthcare, Dr Swadeep Srivastava, Founder and Chief Belief Officer (CBO), Healthpresso, stated in the statement, “AI enables us to analyse vast datasets and make informed decisions, enhancing patient care. However, its power must be wielded responsibly, addressing biases and privacy concerns to truly benefit society.”
